| Text | This indenture, made the twelfth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine between Christian L. ?? & Catherine his wife of the village of Little Falls & county of Herkimer of the first part, and James Kenna & William Kenna of the same place of the second part, wittnesseth, That the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and fifty five dollars to them in hand paid by the said parties of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, or granted, bargained, sold, remised, released, aliened, and confirmed: and by these presents, so grant, bargain, sell, remise, release, alien, and confirm, unto the said parties of the second part, in them (?) actual ??? now being, and to their heirs and assigns (?) for ever, all That certain ??? & parcel of land ??? & bring in the village of Little Falls & County of Herkimer ??? & ??? on a map of said Vill age made by C C Beekman in 1809 as being the north half of lot number four on the west side of fourth street in said village beginning at the south east corn er of lot number two on the west side of said street as noted on said map & run ning ??? southerly along the boundaries (?) of said street thirty feet & ??? westerly parallel to the north boundaries of said lot as laid down on said map & to the west boundaries of the said lot, ??? northerly on the west boundaries of said lot number four to the southwest corner thereof & then along the division line of said lot nos four & two to the said fourth street the place of beginning being in ??? on its southern & northern boundaries one hundred & twenty feet & on its eastern & west ern boundries thirty feet that is ???. Conveyence subject to all rents convenants & ??? reserved & continued (?) in the original ??? thereof from the Elli? to be ?? in kept & performed by the said parties of the second part. Together with all and singular the ??? and ??? thereunto belonging, of in any wise apportaining, and the revession (?) and revesions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereof; and all the estate, right, title, interest, claim, and demand whatsoever, of the said parties of the first part, eithe in law or equity, of, in , and to the above bargined promises, with the ??? abd ???. To have and to hold the said north half of said lot no. four on fourth street in the village of Little Falls to the said parties of the second part their heirs and assigns, to the sole and only profes use, benefit, and behoof of the said parties of the second part, their heirs and assigns, for ever. And the said Christian L? of the first part, for himself his heirs, executors, and administrators, doth covenant, grant, bargin, promise, and agree, to and with the said parties of the second part, their hiers and ??, the above bargained premises, and every part and parcel thereof, in the quick and peacable ??? of the said parties of the second part their heirs, and ???, against all and every person or persons, lawfully claiming or to claim the whole or any part of said premises, will be ever warrant and defend, excepting said rents covenants & ??? in witness whereof, the said part of the first part, ha hereunto set and seal the day and year first above written Signed, Sealed, and Delivered, Christian Lh?? SS in the presence of Catharine Lh?? SS State of New York Herkimer County ?? On this 12th day of October 1839 personnaly came before me Christian Lh??? and Catharine his wife to me well known to be the persons ??? in and who execution the written deed and they acknowledged the execution of the same for the ??? & purposes therin ??? - and the said Catharine ??? private examination separate and apart from her said husband acknowledged the execution of written ??? without any form of compulsion from her said hus band.
