  Photos		Sarah Louise McClendon Averett and Family From left to right; Exa Olive, her sister Lillie Olive, daughters of Martha Arremenio Averett and Hilliard Hayward Olive; Sarah Louise McClendon, widow of Wilson B. Averett and daughter of John W. McClendon and Sarah Mary Averett (dau of Matthew, Sr.); Maude McClendon, Aunt Rep McClendon. The two children are children of Dixie McClendon Harden. Aunt Rep was a sister-in-law of Sarah Louise, being the wife of her brother, Richard E. McClendon. Her name was Serepta D. Brown. I don't now who Maude McClendon was. The picture was made some time before 1912, as great, great grandmother Sarah died 23 Aug 1912 in Lafayette Co., AR. She was b. 16 Jun 1829.

  Notes	1910 Census shows Minerva gave birth to 5 children of which 2 are living. I have not been able to find any information on the dau Merlita, other than her dob in 1900 Census. I would like to hear from descendents of this family. Personal research done by the submitter. Documentation: 1860 Russell Co., AL Census; 1870 Lafayette Co., AR Census; 1880 Ouachita Parish, LA Census (in hh of Matthew Averett, Sr.); 1900 Stonewall Co., TX Census; 1910, 1920, 1930 Harmon Co., OK Census. Jasper is in the hh of Bunyan R. Johnson as a cousin in the 1930 Stonewall Co., TX Census. Their mother's were sisters. This is an on-going project and corrections/additions will be appreciated.
