Intention for Citizenship - James Kenna

To the Honorable the Judges of the Court of Common Pleas of the County aforesaid, and to the Clerk of the same Court, I James Kenna do respectfully certify and report that I was born at Balingary in the County of Limerick in Ireland, and within and in allegiance to the Kingdom of Great Britain, that I am now twenty seven years of age - that I migrated from the city of Limerick and arrived in the city of Troy in the year 1834, that I now reside in the city of Troy in the county of Rensselaer and that it is bonifide my Intention to become a CITIZEN of the UNITED STATES of North America, and to RENOUNCE all allegiance to all and every foreign King, Prince, Potentate and State, and especially to the King of Great Britain.
Subscribed and sworn this 5th day of November 1836 before me,
